8th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®
Success Story — Even in the Rain!
Even the rain couldn't stop the participants from gathering at Plaza de Cesar Chavez to help raise awareness and funds to stop sexualized violence against women. Once again, the Silicon Valley community rose to the occasion and "Walked a Mile in Her Shoes"! The Walk culminated in a reception at the San José State University's Student Union.
Walkers from all around Silicon Valley were determined to make a statement. There were city officials, individual and family walkers, and groups of walkers from clubs, businesses and schools: groups from Lockheed Martin (our largest group!), the law firm of O'Melveny & Myers, Thoits Insurance, Kaiser Permanente, De Anza College, San Jose State University, Santa Clara University, American Medical Response, Manpower, Salas O'Brien...and many, many more!
Thanks to all who support this event with a special thanks to this year's co-chairs.
